This Sims 2 blog follows the lives of the Nuidya tribespeople of the southern plains, as they try to survive, thrive and figure out what exactly it means to be a dragonspark. Along the way, there'll be drama, romance, utter silliness, high-fantasy worldbuilder rambling and lots of cats. Just watch out for those storm demons - they're sneaky. :)

You know I can't stay away.

So I've had some thinking time while my trusty sidekick Titania (that's weird-person-who-names-inanimate-objects-speak for "my computer") has been away for repairs. And I've come to four conclusions.

First, I don't want to give up blogging, but I am going to stop worrying about what other people think and play the way I want to. Thanks to Shannon, Starr and Maisie for their kind comments on my last post.

Second, I want to introduce bodyshapes to Kulo Seeri, which means a lot of clothing recolour tutorials between now and the next story posts, unfortunately. But it does mean that the hood gets a little more variety, and more variety is good. Plus I get to practise my repository skills.

Third, prepare for an invasion of TS3 Sunset Valley premades. It was hard leaving some of Shansam's closest friends behind when he came back from university. Not to mention that he somehow managed to attract a small crowd of admirers over there, and KS could use some catfights. :P

Fourth, I am an incredibly pathetic person for having spent a half hour building session translating the first three verses of "This Old Man" into Maltiazi, my Sim naming language, instead of, y'know, actually building. But, if you ever need to play knick-knack on a wolf, your father's sister's son who is older than you (Maltiazi has way more terms for family relationships than we do) or somebody's head in a completely made-up language for whatever reason, you know where to find me.

And on that note, bye for now. :)

  1. Yay! Glad that you are coming back, and that you felt encouraged to play the way you want to play! :) I think the language that you do is super awesome, I like that Maltiazi has more terms for family relationships, shows that it's important in their society. I'm very excited to see what you do, and how your different body shapes work out! I've always enjoyed the look of them, but never delved into them since way back in the beginning when there was an extremely limited number of options. It's nice to see you back in my feed. :)

  2. In no way pathetic. Sounds like Tolkien to me, translating into a made up language. Good company there, VT.

So glad to hear we are still going to be able to see Kulo Seeri develop, and it sounds like you've got some challenges ahead with the bodyshapes. Best of luck!
